This tutorial was written for PSP10, but can be done in versions 8 and 9.
This tutorial is only intended as a guide so please feel free to use any image and tube you like, change the fonts and
The colors and effects settings given may have to be adjusted to compliment your choices if you use something different.

~ You will need ~
Paint Shop Pro 10, a 30 day trial can be downloaded here.
The fonts I used are LBC Starlight and Dearest Dorothy from DaFont.
Open the fonts and mininmize them on your desktop.
The zip with all the supplies here.
Extract "gh_swirly_016", "gh_swirly_017" and "gh_swirly_018" to a new folder on your desktop and "IMPORT" into PSP.
If you need help importing brushes please follow my tutorial here ...
Extract "Pinwheel.bmp" into your texture folder in C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My PSP Files\Textures.
Have "dots_gh.psp", "sunflowerblendtexture_gh.jpg", "Myst~2 Bright SunFlower.psp" (Thank you Myst~2 for the use of this beautiful tube!) and "Sunflowerhalf_gh.psp" open in PSP.
You can drag this arrow as you go to keep track of your place in the tutorial.
Drag script from Dynamic Drive
Let's get started ...
Open a new transparent image 550 x 450.
Make your Foreground color #b51211, Background color #f4d15d.
Change your Foreground to Gradient and use these settings ...
Angle 270, Repeats 0, Invert unchecked, Style ~ Linear.
Flood fill your image with the gradient.
Open the "sunflowerblendtexture_gh". Copy and paste as a new layer on your working image.
Lower the opacity of this layer to 22.
Open the "sunflowerhalf_gh". Copy and paste as a new layer on your working image.
Move the flower to the bottom of the canvas and change the blend mode to Soft Light.
Effects/Edge Effects/ Enhance.
Here's what you should have so far ..
Open the "dots_gh" tube and copy and paste as a new layer. Change the Blend Mode to Multiply.
Add a new raster layer and name it brush1.
Click on your Paint brush and look in your brush preview window for "gh_swirly_016". Change the brush size to 353.
Click on your foreground color box, change the angle of the gradient to 90 and click on the Texture option and find
"Pinwheel" in the texture preview window.
Angle 0 and Scale 100.
Apply the brush like below .. then change the Blend Mode to Multiply and lower the opacity to 62.
Add a new raster layer, name it brush 2.
Find "gh_swirly_017" in your Brush preview window. Change the size to 440 and change the rotation to 220.
Using your backgound color (#f4d15d), right click to apply the brush to the center of your image.
Change the blend mode of this layer to Hard Light and lower the opacity to 80.
Add a new raster layer and name it brush 3.
Look in your brush preview window to find "gh_swirly_018", we will use it at size 492.
Click on your foreground color box, change the angle of the gradient to 0, repeats 1 and check the Invert box.
Keep the Texture option settings like before and click twice while applying the brush like below ..
Change the Blend Mode to Multiply.
Open the "Myst~2 Bright SunFlower.psp" and copy and paste it as a new layer on your working image.
Move the flower to the right and down like below ...
Effects/ 3D Effects/ Drop Shadow with these settings ..
Horizontal & Vertical ~
-4 (minus four), Opacity 40, Blur 20, Color ~ Black.
Let's add the text now.
Go to the Materials Palette and change the foreground back to color (#b51211) and uncheck the texture option. Your
background color should still be
#f4d15d. Click on your Text tool and use these settings ...
Apply the text to the left side of the image, about 50 pixels from the bottom. Right click and "Convert to a Raster layer".
Change the blend mode to Overlay.
Click on your Text tool again and use these settings ...
Switch your foreground and background colors and apply the text on your image.
Effects/ 3D Effects/ Drop Shadow
Vertical 0, Horizontal 3, Opacity 25, Blur 4 and Color ~ Black.
Add a new Raster layer. Flood fill with your foreground color. (#f4d15d)
Selections/ Select All. Selections/ Modify/ Contract 6 pixels. Edit/Cut. Selections/ Select None.
Add a new Raster layer. Flood fill with your background color (#b51211)
Selections/ Select All. Selections/ Modify/ Contract 4 pixels. Edit/Cut. Selections/ Select None.
Now you have a. psp file of your tag with the borders on separate layers.
Save a copy of your
with the layers
intact then merge the layers of the working image and save as a jpg.
