This tutorial was written for PSP9. If you are using PSP8, some
of the paths to the various tools
and effects may be different. All the effects are there, you
might just have to hunt to find
I have included lots of instructions and screen shots with
the hope that anyone can do this tutorial. I have most of my favorite
effects on a toolbar but I have included the path to each effect
so it will be easy to find them if you are new to PSP. If you are more
advanced, just skip along
at your own pace. I hope you enjoy doing this tutorial.

Paint Shop Pro 9, a 30 day trial program can be downloaded here.
Flaming Pears Aetherize included in the Designer
Sextet it's the sixth one on the page.
This is a demo version of
the filter. You can try before you buy.
Unzip this to your plugin folder.
The 2 fonts I used from DaFont, Beautiful
Ink and Especial
Unzip the fonts, open and minimize them on your desktop.
Right click to save this royalty free image to your hard drive and open in PSP. You
can use any image you like.
Let's get started ..
With your softtulips.jpg open in PSP go to Effects/Flaming Pear/Aetherize
using these settings ..
Here's a short explanation about the Aetherize filter and how
to use it. Flaming Pear has lots of cool presets for this filter.
open the presets for you. After you click on this button you will need
to browse to the folder where you keep your plugins, then Flaming Pear\Designer Sextet\Designer Sextet\Aetherize\Aetherize presets to find them.

ok, back to the tutorial.
This is how your image should look now ..
Go to Adjust/Softness/Soft Focus and use these settings ..
This is what you should have now ..
Go to Image/Picture Frame and choose a frame you like, below are
the settings for the one I used ..
***If you are using PSP7, I made a tube from the frame and you can download it here.
Open the tube and go to 'Edit/Copy', then on your image go to Selections/Select All
then Edit/Paste into Selection.***
Here's what you should have now ..
Now let's add your name ..
I used "Beautiful Ink" (this is an all cap font) for my name
Foreground color, white and Background
Click on your Text Tool and
use these settings ....
Click on your image to apply the text. Use your Object Selection Tool
to adjust the
size and position. When you are happy with your text, go to your Layer
palette and right
click on the Vector 1 layer and Convert to Raster Layer.
Go to Selections/Select All,
Selections/Modify/Contract 1 pixels.
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner bevel and use these settings ...
Bevel 2 , Width 1, Smoothness 40, Depth 2, Ambience -3,
Shininess 50, Color White, Angle 90, Intensity 39 and Elevation 40.
Add a drop shadow .... Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 60, blur 4 and Color black.
Here's what you should have now ...
Next let's add the quote. Using your text tool, Foreground
color off and Background color White with these settings ..
Click on your canvas and in the Text Entry window type ...

Right click on Vector 1 and convert to a Raster layer. I added the same
Drop Shadow as before and lowered the opacity to 90. Add your watermark
and you are done!
