Now click on the the new node to the right

We are going to start adding the design now. Add a new Vector layer
and choose your Text Tool .
In your Materials palette Foreground color #16246C and Background
color off. In your Text Tool Ribbon use these settings, Vector and
Antialias are checked, Dover Japanese Design, size 150, and make
sure Bold is not selected, Type in the letter n, lower case, click
Apply. Move the design so it is centered on the pot. Right click
on Vector 1 in your Layer palette and choose "Convert to Raster".
Here's what you should have so far.
4. Now for
the corners! Add a new Vector layer. Select your Text tool ,
same settings as step 3, except change your Stroke width to 2 and
find "Ornamental Corners", size 100, the color palette
is the same. Click on your pot and type in the letter j, lower case.
Click Apply. Move it to the right top corner of your pot. You will
need to use the handles to move it into place and make adjustments.
You will need to pull the bottom center node down almost to the
center of the first ding. Right click on Vector 1 and Convert to
Raster. This is what you should have now.
to Layers, Duplicate then to Image, Mirror. Using your Mover tool
line it up in the top left corner. Turn off all layers but the two
corner ding layers and go to Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Go to
Layers, Duplicate then go to Image, Flip. Turn your other layers
back on, and move the duplicated layer to the bottom of the pot.
Here's what you should have now.
6. Turn off
your background layer and go to Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. You
can turn your background layer back on again. Now we are going to
add some shading. On your Merged layer, go to Selections/Select
All, Selections/Float. Go to Layers/New Raster Layer. Using your

Spray some color around the edges of the pot.
Go to Adjust/Blur/Guassian Blur and type in 10 and lower the opacity
of this layer to 40.
While still selected go to Layers/New Raster Layer then Effects/3D
Effects/Cutout and apply this Cutout....

0 Blur= 20
Next go to
Adjust, Add/RemoveNoise, Add Noise, Uniform, 7, check "Monochrome".
Go to Selections/Select none. Turn off your background layer and
go to Merge/Merge Visible. Turn
your background layer back on.

preset to apply a glassy look to your pot.
8. Now we are
going to make the top. Choose your Preset Shapes tool ,
rounded rectangle, change the Background color to White (#FFFFFF)
and no Foreground color, Vector and Anti alias checked and draw
a rounded rectangle starting at (145, 33) and ending at (235, 113)
9. Choose your
and add one node at the top. ( you can add a node by holding down
the Control key and place your mouse on the line until you see ~add~,
then left click on the line to add the node.) Now to shape the top,
you will have to right click on the new node, a menu will appear,
click on Node Type, Symmetric. Now go to your new node and pull
it up a bit, next grab either one of the two handles and pull it
straight out a bit to curve the top. It should look like this now.
10. When you
are happy with the shape right click on Vector 1 in your Layer Palette
and choose Convert to a Raster.
11. Now we
are going to decorate the top! Choose your Text Tool .
Check Vector and Anti alias are checked, find Quilters Delight,
size 36, stroke width 1 and make sure Bold is not selected. In
your Materials Palette, foreground off and background color #16246C.
Click on the top and type in the
letter i, lower
Click Apply. Move the ding to the left side of the top. You will
have to stretch the ding by the top and bottom center nodes to fit
the top. See the screen shot below.
