So let's get started! =)

1. Open a new 400 x 400 pixel canvas , color #16246C. The background color is so we can see what we are doing, we will delete it later. With your Foreground color off and Background color set to white (#FFFFFF), choose your pre-set shapes tool
set to Rounded Rectangle, vector and antialias checked, retain style unchecked, draw out a rectangle. I started at (70, 120) and finished at (324, 388) This is what you should have.

2. Click on your Pen Tool , you should be in "node edt" now. Holding down your Control key, move your mouse along the top line of the rectangle, clicking to add 4 nodes. Holding down your Shift key, click on the 2 center nodes. This will select them both. Grab one of the selected nodes and put it straight up, the other will follow and stay aligned.

Now click on the the new node to the right

and pull this one in to shape the neck of the pottery. Do the same for the left node.
Your shape should look like below.

Right click on Vector 1 in your layer palette and choose Convert to a Raster.

3. We are going to start adding the design now. Add a new Vector layer and choose your Text Tool . In your Materials palette Foreground color #16246C and Background color off. In your Text Tool Ribbon use these settings, Vector and Antialias are checked, Dover Japanese Design, size 150, and make sure Bold is not selected, Type in the letter n, lower case, click Apply. Move the design so it is centered on the pot. Right click on Vector 1 in your Layer palette and choose "Convert to Raster".
Here's what you should have so far.

4. Now for the corners! Add a new Vector layer. Select your Text tool , same settings as step 3, except change your Stroke width to 2 and find "Ornamental Corners", size 100, the color palette is the same. Click on your pot and type in the letter j, lower case. Click Apply. Move it to the right top corner of your pot. You will need to use the handles to move it into place and make adjustments. You will need to pull the bottom center node down almost to the center of the first ding. Right click on Vector 1 and Convert to Raster. This is what you should have now.

5. Go to Layers, Duplicate then to Image, Mirror. Using your Mover tool line it up in the top left corner. Turn off all layers but the two corner ding layers and go to Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Go to Layers, Duplicate then go to Image, Flip. Turn your other layers back on, and move the duplicated layer to the bottom of the pot.
Here's what you should have now.

6. Turn off your background layer and go to Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. You can turn your background layer back on again. Now we are going to add some shading. On your Merged layer, go to Selections/Select All, Selections/Float. Go to Layers/New Raster Layer. Using your Airbrush tool with these settings ....

Spray some color around the edges of the pot.

Go to Adjust/Blur/Guassian Blur and type in 10 and lower the opacity of this layer to 40.
While still selected go to Layers/New Raster Layer then Effects/3D Effects/Cutout and apply this Cutout....
Shadow color to #000000, Vertical= 0 Opacity= 60, Horizontal= 0 Blur= 20

Next go to Adjust, Add/RemoveNoise, Add Noise, Uniform, 7, check "Monochrome". Go to Selections/Select none. Turn off your background layer and go to Merge/Merge Visible. Turn
your background layer back on.

7. Go to Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000, Glass and use the Chinese Porcelain_gh preset to apply a glassy look to your pot.

8. Now we are going to make the top. Choose your Preset Shapes tool , rounded rectangle, change the Background color to White (#FFFFFF) and no Foreground color, Vector and Anti alias checked and draw a rounded rectangle starting at (145, 33) and ending at (235, 113)

9. Choose your Pen Tool and add one node at the top. ( you can add a node by holding down the Control key and place your mouse on the line until you see ~add~, then left click on the line to add the node.) Now to shape the top, you will have to right click on the new node, a menu will appear, click on Node Type, Symmetric. Now go to your new node and pull it up a bit, next grab either one of the two handles and pull it straight out a bit to curve the top. It should look like this now.

10. When you are happy with the shape right click on Vector 1 in your Layer Palette and choose Convert to a Raster.

11. Now we are going to decorate the top! Choose your Text Tool . Check Vector and Anti alias are checked, find Quilters Delight, size 36, stroke width 1 and make sure Bold is not selected. In your Materials Palette, foreground off and background color #16246C. Click on the top and type in the letter i, lower case. Click Apply. Move the ding to the left side of the top. You will have to stretch the ding by the top and bottom center nodes to fit the top. See the screen shot below.

12.Right click on Vector 1 in your layer palette and choose Convert to a Raster, go to Layers, Duplicate and Image, Mirror, use your Mover tool to line it up with the first ding.

Turn off your Merged and Background layer and go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible. You may turn your other layers back on now.

13. On your top layer, Selections, Select All.... Selections, Float.... Repeat the Airbrushing and Cutout and Noise in Step 6. Selections/Select none. Turn off your Background and Merged layers and go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.
Go to Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000, Glass and apply the Chinese Porcelain_gh preset.

15. Use your Mover tool to move the top down just a bit. Right click on the Background layer and choose delete. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible and save as a tube.

There are many variations you can do with different shapes and using different dings!
