This tutorial was written using PSP10, but can be done in all versions.
This tutorial is only a guide and written with instructions using the same papers and elements I used.
Feel free to use any papers and elements you like. You might prefer to use a tube instead of an image.
I have included lots of instructions and screen shots with the hope that anyone can do this tutorial and
have included the path to each effect so it will be easy to find them if you are new to PSP. If you are more
advanced, feel free to move ahead at your own pace ! I hope you enjoy doing this tutorial.

Paint Shop Pro 10, a 30 day trial can be downloaded here.

There is a selection file in the zip named "me&you.PspSelection".
Extract this file to My Documents/My PSP Files/Selections.
Have the rest of the files open in PSP OR make a folder and extract the scrap files there. When you
need a file you can use the browser in PSP to open whatever file when you need it.
A photo or tube. The interior area of the photo frame is about 234 x 260 so size your photo appropriately.
SA_Dots font from ScrappinFun.com here. Click on The Fonts and Dots is on Page 3. Extract the font to your
desktop. open and minimize it.

You can drag this pointer as you go to keep track of your place in the tutorial.

Let's get started ...
Use any papers or elements from the kit you like, the instructions were written using the ones I chose.

Step 1
Open a new image 600 X 600 pixels, white background. Save it as you&me.psp, this will be our working image.
Open Paper5, Edit/Copy. Go back to your working image, Edit/Paste as New Layer.
Image/Resize 90 Percent, Resize all layers unchecked.
Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow with these settings ..
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 50, Blur 10, Color Black.
Repeat the drop shadow but change the V and H to -2.

Step 2
Open Paper1, Edit/Copy. Go back to your working image, Edit/Paste as New Layer.
Image/Resize 90 Percent, Resize all layers unchecked.
Selections/Load/Save Selection Load Selection from Disk.
Find "me&you1" in the Selection preview window and click on Load. Selections/Invert. Edit/Cut.
Selections/Select None.
Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow with these settings ..
Vertical 3, Horizontal -2, Opacity 50, Blur 10, Color Black.
Repeat the drop shadow but change the Horizontal to 2.

Here's what you should have so far ..



Step 3
Open Stitches and Belts. I used the Teal Stitches so highlight that layer and go to Edit/Copy.
Go back to your working image, Edit/Paste as New Layer.
Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow with these settings ..
Vertical and Horizontal 1, Opacity 90, Blur 3, Color Black.
Image/Free Rotate, Right, Free 90 degrees, uncheck all layers.
Using your Mover Tool move the stitches over to the left side of the second paper and down.
Don't leave any stitches showing at the top of the paper. Layers/Duplicate. Image/Mirror.
In your Layer Palette right click on "Copy of Raster3" and go to Merge/Merge Down.


Using your Selection Tool with these settings ..
Rectangle, Mode: Add, Feather 0 and Anti-Alias off make a selection across the bottom of the
second paper and to the bottom of the image. Edit/Cut.
Selections/Select None.



Step 4
Open the Photo Frame, Edit/Copy. Go back to your working image, Edit/Paste as New Layer.
Image/Resize, 90 % All Layers unchecked.
Move the frame over to the left and up a bit.


Using your Magic Wand with the settings below .. select the area inside the frame.

Selections/Modify/Expand 5 pixels.
Open the image you are going to use. Edit/Copy. Go back to your working image and in your Layer Palette click on
Raster 3. Edit/Paste as New Layer. Using your Mover Tool place the photo inside the selection. Selections/Invert.
Edit/Cut. Selections/Select none.
In your Layer Palette click on Raster 4 (the frame layer) and add this drop shadow ..
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 50, Blur 5, and Color Black.


Step 5
Open Stitches and Belts. I used the Belt 2 so highlight that layer and go to Edit/Copy.
Go back to your working image, Edit/Paste as New Layer. Move the belt down to the bottom
of the second paper leaving room for the text we will add later.

Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow with these settings ..
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 50, Blur 5, Color Black.

Repeat the drop shadow but change the V and H to -2.
Using your Selection Tool make 2 selections where the belt is extending over the sides.

Edit/Cut.Selections/Select None.

Step 6
Open the stapled ribbons. I used the teal ribbon so highlight that layer and go to Edit/Copy.
Go back to your working image, Edit/Paste as New Layer. Image/Resize 80%, all layers unchecked.
Move the ribbon over to the right and up so it's sitting on the stitches.

Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow with these settings ..
Vertical and Horizontal -2, Opacity 50, Blur 5, Color Black.

Repeat the drop shadow but change the V and H to 2.


Step 7
Open the buttons. I used the Button3 so highlight that layer and go to Edit/Copy.
Go back to your working image, Edit/Paste as New Layer. Image/Resize 80%, all layers unchecked.
Move the button so it's sitting at the top of the stapled ribbons.

Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow with these settings ..
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 50, Blur 5, Color Black.

Repeat the drop shadow but change the V and H to -2.



Open the word art. Edit/Copy. Go back to your working image, Edit/Paste as New Layer.
Move the word art so the "you" is sitting on the belt ribbon on the right.

Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow with these settings ..
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 50, Blur 5, Color Black.


Step 8
Click on your Text Tool and use these settings ..

In your materials palette make your foreground color #831602 and change your background to pattern. Click on
the background color box and look in the current pattern window, find Paper2. Settings are Angle 0 and Scale 100.
Click on your canvas to open the text entry window, type in your text and apply.
In your Layer palette right click on your text layer and convert to a raster layer.
Go to Selections/Select All, Selections/Float, Selections/Modify/Contract/ 1 Pixel.
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply these settings ...



Selections/Select None. Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply these settings ...
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 67, Blur 2 and Color Black.
Move the text down
so it's at the bottom of the first paper below the belt.
Add your watermark and your "Me & You" Scrap is finished!
You may want to save a copy of your file with the layers intact then save as a jpg.
